Deal with the faults of others as gently as with
your own (Chinese proverb)

Now that it's clear that his controversial private-paid trips abroad will be put under a microscope in Congress, Tom DeLay is in serious danger of being declared in violation of House ethics rules, legal experts say. By Jeffrey H. Birnbaum, Washington Post

Is it taking this long to get Delay in front of the Ethics Committee because the members don't like the scrutiny coming so close to themselves?

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook. Groucho Marx

Bingo! It makes you wonder what a close examination by a truly impartial Independent Prosecutor would do to far too many members of Congress. Too bad Ken Starr isn't available....

  2. Well, yes, but maybe not Ken Starr...He had rather an IN for Clinton that gave energy to his cause beyond the prosecutorial call of duty. Will Rogers once said the people we elect are no better and no worse than those who elected them. I tend to think we'd be firing all their asses if there was a really "close examination." Doesn't mean you're wrong, Sally, just an idealist like me.
